Supplier registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database
The Ports Regulator of South Africa hereby notifies all prospective suppliers interested in registering on our preferred suppliers database that all such registration initiatives must be done via the Central Supplier Database as established by National Treasury by using the following link: https://secure.csd.gov.za
National Treasury on behalf of Government has implemented a Central Supplier Database (CSD) to serve as the source for all supplier information for all spheres of government with effect from 1 April 2016. This initiative is based on principles of simplification, standardization and automation of the supplier management process.
All prospective suppliers interested in pursuing opportunities within the South African government are encouraged to register themselves on the CSD. The self-registration application represents an expression of interest from the supplier to conduct business with the South African government. Once submitted, prospective supplier application details will be assessed for inclusion on the CSD.
Kindly note that with effect from 01 April 2016 all Government Departments including the Ports Regulator will be required to utilise the CSD for all procurement and the Ports Regulator will no longer maintain its own database.
Suppliers already registered on the Ports Regulator Supplier Database and who also registered on the CSD must provide their CSD supplier number and unique security code as well as any other relevant documentation (not yet electronically verified by the CSD) to Ms. Nafeesa Ally at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For help, contact Ms. Nafeesa Ally on +27 (0)31 365 7800 or by email at email@example.com. National Treasury can also be contacted for any assistance and/or for further clarity on the process at firstname.lastname@example.org or +27 (0)12 406 9222.
