Original consultation summary
The National Ports Authority has submitted its tariff application to the Ports Regulator of South Africa for the 2023/24 – 2025/26 financial year. Copies of the application may be obtained under documents and forms below or from the Authority’s website.
An invitation is hereby extended to port users and interested parties to attend public hearings on the National Ports Authority (NPA) tariff application for 2023/24 on the dates and times listed below. Furthermore, port users and interested parties are invited to submit proposals and comments on the tariff application by 30 September 2022.
Tariff Application description
Transnet National Ports Authority, (“the Authority”) is required, with the approval of the Ports Regulator (“the Regulator”), to determine tariffs for services and facilities offered by the Authority and to annually publish a tariff book containing those tariffs. On 01 August 2022, the Authority submitted its application setting out its proposed tariffs for all services and facilities offered by the Authority for the tariff period for approval by the Regulator.

Public hearings were held on the NPA’s tariff application for 2023/24 – 2025/26 from 05 September 2022 to 13 September 2022 in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Gauteng, and Durban.
